So after an afternoon of water slides and wave pools. I look like I'm an indian, prepared for battle. My right side is completely burnt, as under my right eye. It looks like I'm half covered in war-paint. Anyway, when I got home, I had time to do two $11 dollar heads-up matches, winning them both.
Here was a dominating hand from the 2nd heads-up match, beautifully played if I do say so myself. I even talked the opponent into calling..observe.

As you can see, I raised with 4-8 off suit. In heads-up, I play differently for each opponent, if they are loose and aggressive, I let them do my betting for me. If they are tight, I tend to raise almost every other hand.
Good luck for me tonight as I will be doing the $15 tournament, $2 tournament, and perhaps some others..

Our Poon of the Day can't talk right now...
The Poon of the Day for the first of August in the year two thousand and eight is of the verbal variety.
Meet docmudd. Me and Chase are sitting at a .25/.50 stud h/l table on stars, and this turd is sitting to my right. Me and him get into a hand with two other people involved. I made a 6 low on 6th street with a gutshot wheel draw. The moron du jour had 3 cards to a six low showing, and it would have taken A2 buried for him to have my low beat. Since he didn't raise early, I figured I had him. The two other callers were drawing to high hands, so I wasn't focused on them. Since I assumed I had the best low hand, I kept raising it up. I rivered my wheel, and bet out. One of the high hands came along, and this moron raised and fed the rake. I reraised, figuring I could scoop, and he just called along with the other player. We both had a 6 high straight for the hi, and I took the low with 5,4,3,2,A.
This anal wart proceeds to curse and drop these highlight reel comments:
docmudd said, "poon ur self quartered on the riv w gut card"
_the_panic_ said, "go cry somewhere else you tool"

...You get the point. Judging by his spelling, he has the IQ of a dead fly.
So what makes him a P.O.T.D.? Heh...
The idiot calls the chat mod on me. Because everything I said was too far out of line, right? Of course, he's the one dropping all the profanities. The mod replies back, and the jackass didn't say boo the rest of the game. The moron got himself banned! What a POON.
Not sure how much Chase and I will be playing tomorrow, as we both have plans. I'll be dropping my new "IDs of the Week" on Sunday, so check back.

Typical Ending But Broke The Streak
Didn't do that much playing on ps today, as you can see from Winstar.
I played two tournaments. The $4-180 person and the $2 buck tournament.
I got donked out of the $4 buck early, a moron went all in after my reraise with AQ. He had 57 off, turned a 7.
The two buck..I cashed.. 117th out of 1709, cashing for a solid $4.85..but this..well, is standard.

Tomorrow, I'll be at a water park all day, so I wont be tourneying it up til late. Pete, who knows, he plays either sparingly or a sh*t load on certain days.
My patio segment will come out on Monday...stay tuned.

Winstar..Winstar..Damnit.
So I woke up this morning early, to take a break from getting screwed on PS, to head across the border to Winstar to try and make some money at Winstar Casino.
When I sit at the 1/2 NL table I sit with my normal $200 dollars.
I wasnt getting much action early. My first real big hand came when I had AK suited, and faced a raise of $12 from a mid stack of about $95. I re-raised the action to $40 dollars, which then the guy re-raises all-in for a total of 95
My AK clubs vs Opponents JJ
Flop: KK7
Turn:3
Riv:6
Was a nice start after a slow beginning.
I built my chip stack to about $400, up a little over $2oo when the downfall (2 hands) began.
I looked down and KK from the BB. 3 players limped in, so I made it $12 dollars total to play. I chased out two players but got 1 caller (from a tight player)
flop: 8 5 4 rainbow flop.
I bet out first, $30 dollars, right around the total of the pot, to hopefully chase out any draws, in-case he called with A6. The guy who called just made the call.
Turn:K (no flush possibility)
I tried to be cute here and see if I could get a bet out of him by playing weak, so I checked. As did he.
River: J
Feeling good with my Trip Kings, I bet out $90 dollars. The guy immediately raises all-in, for a total of $125 more. By this time I was feeling confident. I put him on a set by now or maybe a j8 suited. I looked at the board and saw only one hand could beat me (67 for the straight) but he had been playing so tight I couldnt see him calling preflop. I make the call. He flips over 67. Nicely played, awful turn for me. I was crushed.
So with about $145 now in chips down for the first time for the day. I looked to regroup. Not even three hands later, I look down at AA otb. It folded around to the guy to my right. Who raised to $10 dollars. I put on my acting face, waited, then reraised it to $40 dollars. The guy, played very loose all day, made the call.
flop: 10h 9h 4c
The man bet out $25 dollars. I had a total of $105 left, My main thought was him having pocket Jacks or Queens, since I didnt think he would bet out with a set, I pushed all-in. The man lowered his head and then looked at me and said "I have a hell of a drawing hand, I don't think I can lay it down" He called and flips over QJ of hearts
Turn: 8h
River: Unknown
I didn't even stay around to see the meaningless card, once that 8h hit I just got up and walked away..pissed..like on PS.
Hopefully tonight I can make some money, until then, my POTD nominee (coming from Winstar) will be known if the winner.

And the Poon of the Day is...
Congratulations to "Fábão," who put his name into Poon of the Day contention early on in our 4 buck 180 and never looked back. No poon came close to matching Fábão. This poon would qualify for poon of the month, if we had such an award.
Exhibit A: Fábão contributes to costing me a triple up. I get dealt pocket 10s in the big blind. Fab limps in for 50 after the first three players fold. A player with a lame ID named "deadmunnE" then raises 3x to 150. After a call, I make the call from the big blind, and action back to our P.O.T.D. He then reraises all-in, for 1060 total. deadmunnE then reraises all in himself. I think to myself after a raise, a shove, and another all in, my 10s have to be trailing. I folded and what do i see? Fábão's KQ offsuit vs munnE's 66. Bunch of poons. Sure enough, the board runs out and I would have rivered a straight flush. You cant make this crap up.
While donkey deadmunnE put himself in the POTD race by trying to back up his idiotic move, a series of other plays by Fábão won him this prestigious award.
This play needs no explanation, lamentation, or any other -ation. Just read it and shake your head.

No title necessary (Razz Update)
Didn't play much today. Started off slow, getting ousted from the morning 1 buck holdem tourney. Final tabled a 4 buck 180 for the first time. I did the 25c poon-off with a few friends, didn't get anywhere in that garbage. Did the 1 buck razz, which I'm still in as of this post. Was looking good in the 2 buck at 11PM, an idiot shoved 5 grand with AQ and i made the call with 9s, figuring I was ahead. I lost, and finished out of the money by 37. What can you do.
I'll update my razz finish. 24 cash, so I'll probably end up anywhere from 25th-30th.
Poon of the Day honors will be handed out shortly.
Update: What do you know, finished 28th, just as I predicted. Got royally screwed, as always.

Can't argue either play here. I was short, Maran had the stack and took a risk. As always, I run out with garbage and the opponent rivers the best hand. It doesn't matter what game you play on this site, you always get pooned.
Going to have some video of a home game tomorrow. If all goes as planned, the video should look pretty tight, and it'll seem like a tutorial on how to own a poon. Check back for that.
I'll update my razz finish. 24 cash, so I'll probably end up anywhere from 25th-30th.
Poon of the Day honors will be handed out shortly.
Update: What do you know, finished 28th, just as I predicted. Got royally screwed, as always.

Good Night and Screw all the idiots on Poker Stars
Tonight- $5 buck tourney, $2 buck tourney, $1 buck razz (In progress)
5 Buck- I got solid hands early, couldnt hit flops. 45 minutes in my AK suited lost to pocket 9s.
2 Buck- Lost on the first hand to a moron, had AA first hand in the sb. Idiot in mid position calls the blind, the button raises to 60. I re-raised to 350. Idiot in mid position calls with QJ. Button folds.
Flop: J93
I shoved my 1150 into the 800+ pot and of course QJ is solid after a raise and re-raise, and he calls the all in.
Turn-K
Riv-10
I just can't beat stupidity. Having one of the worst runs on Pokerstars in my career. It's a sad day in the world of ps.

7.31.2008
Awful Afternoon
Once again, another disappointing afternoon.
The last two days I've gone 0-15 in the afternoon in tournaments.
My most disappointing was the $2 (4-max) where you have to win two tables to cash.
I was up early, leading the table with 2000 in chips. The table poon had about 950 and was in the bb. I limped utg with 67 suited, the button and sb (small blind) folded.
Flop: A67 rainbow flop
Poon: Check
Chase: bet 80
Poon: re-raised all in
Now I figured, at best he had an ace. He didn't fold a hand and was making poor calls throughout the beginning of the tournament. So i made the call. He had 89 off suit..raising 950 total on an open ended straight draw
Turn:5
I was so pissed. Suck out after suck out, It was to be my last tournament to register for the afternoon. I was already registered for the $2.50 tournament (which my two pair lost to a rivered straight)
With my bankroll declining, I need to make a turn around.
Tonight I most likely will do the $5 dollar tourney and perhaps the $2 buck at 10 followed by a $4-180
I need all the luck I can get, just to keep my dominating hands from getting sucked out.

$4 buck-180 - Ousted in 7th.
Ousted in 7th.
Pete here. Chase hit the rail pretty early, but I final tabled it. I was getting low on chips; had about 17k left and was 6th of 7. I picked up AJ offsuit under the gun. I figured limping won't do me any good, and if I raise I'm probably committed. I shoved it, and then had two callers. Was against AQ and KK. Bad luck, bad timing. I'll take the cash though, haven't had any luck in 4 buck 180s before today.
Hour # 3
Chase: Still on the damn rail...
Pete: 5th of 11 left with 26.5k
Pete has been making his move, he found himself all in with pocket kings vs a moron with pocket 2s for a 20k pot.
Since then pete has been playing pretty aggressive, stealing blinds, and out playing opponents post flop.
Tune in to see if Pete makes the final table and goes for his 1st career win
Hour # 2
Chase: On the rail...131st.
Pete: 14th of 27 with 8845 in chips
Pete got a nice chip stack after a great read with AQ. After raising 3x to 450, a stack of about 1800 shoved. Pete made the call and held vs KJ. Moments later, his KK lost to.... A TWO OUTER. 6s, who was short, flopped a set. Nothing he could do.
With about 5300 in chips, Pete got QQ after a minimum utg raise. He re-raised all in, and got a call from the small blind. His queens got rivered by KA, and was down to 2200. Then, this big triple up set up a run at the money:

Now, being short stacked early on, limits me on playing, especially against idiots. Some people might question my move, but the moron Turfin raised utg (under the gun) earlier with A7 off suit, another weak hand-another horrible play. I had no respect for him and I figured AK or a higher pp (pocket pair) would of re-raised the minimum raise, which didnt happen. So at worst I figured I was a coinflip.
Now, if Turfin was not a f*cking moron, he would of folded, and then the AJ suited would of called, and I would of doubled up. But since we play in a world of idiots...I got ousted.

When receiving the POTD award, it also comes with a lookup of the stats. And like always, you can always spot a poon without knowing his past. only 20 cashes, over 100 tournaments played, and hahaha..excuse me...$101 dollars in earnings. Yea man, that flush draw had me dominated. You're right poon. I am the donkey.
Hope you guys enjoyed the first segment of The2Outer, see ya tomorrow, g'night poons.

The reason we called it "The2Outer"
Another day of PSing leads to a two out ouster. What else is new?
I didn't play much today. Won a 5 card sng, had a solid run in the 2-7 triple draw tourney but didn't cash, and then a deep run in the 1 buck horse.
In the 2-7 lowball, I just got unlucky. I pulled 8-7-6-3-2 on the second draw and thought I had the easy double up, but my opponent also stood pat after draw 2, and revealed 7-6-5-3-2. I can't tell you how many times I paired up on draw 3 when I should have easily taken it. Not bad for my first 2-7 tourney though, 28th out of 84.
In the 1 buck HORSE, I was sitting top 10 from 70 people left up until my ousting. I was feeling good, thought I'd finally get that elusive first win, or at the bare minimum get my 3rd final table of the month. We're on the hold'em stage, with stakes at 2500/5000. I get KA suited in late position with a under-the-gun raise. I just called it, hoping to see something I liked. I hit and, well, you can read the rest.

Typical day, typical ending. Another BS two outer on the turn ruins my chance at a decent pay day. Nothing I can do there accept curse at PS, which I did-- believe me. That right there is why me and Chase created this friggin blog. Another promising run goes up in flames.
Poon of the day-- not many candidates on my end today. Probably because I didn't play much hold'em. That'll be up shortly. Enjoy the night, poons.

Lets Start off The2Outer's first poker blog with a 2 Outer
A bad day with a bad ending. I started my morning off with the daily 30 grand($10 + 1). Making a good read early on with top pair decent kicker and got sucked out by a flush draw.

Now Right here..it's a 1 dollar tournament, and Normally I just re-raise, but since you play against morons, you have to shove in this position and hope for a bad call..which is what I got.

Pretty Typical^^---You will see Pete and I use such phrases as "So Typical" or "That's Standard." Meaning we are used to the suckouts when we play against morons.
I had a rough day and my last tournament of the day ended that way. The $2 buck tournament at 7:15 pm. Almost had Final Table # 43. I got 10th, paying me a weak $18.55 when 1st paid $338.56.
On the day I went a pathetic 1-11 in tournaments (over-whelmingly below my 22% cash rate) 6 out of the 8 holdem tournaments I got all-in with the best hand and ended up losing all of them. But hey, its just another day on pokerstars.

Pete's Bio
What's up. My name is Pete and I live on Long Island. I play on Pokerstars with the ID _the_panic_. I'm not really a high roller, but I'm trying to build a bankroll slowly. I'd say I'm more of a cash game/sit-n-go player as opposed to tourneys, but I'm solid in every game. 5 card draw is probably my best. I've got 3 final tables in three different games and a bunch of cashes, but nothing too amazing. I'll probably be getting my first casino experience sometime within the next year, so hopefully I can win there too. I spend most of my free time trying to play poker, but it's pretty tough when your facing a field of donkeys. You'll see what its like on a day-to-day basis playing and dealing with idiots online, and read along as we try to make it big. I know I'll have a few bad beats every day, and hopefully I can share some big wins too. Stay tuned for my "Funny ID's of the Week" posts, as well as our "Poon of the Day" award, both of which should be entertaining.
Chase's Bio
What's Up guys and welcome to The2Outer. My name is Chase, I'm 19, and from Dallas, Texas. My friend Pete and I created this site so you online poker players can read our daily struggles in this world of morons. I play on Pokerstars.com and my User Id is: LGotRivered
My Stats can be seen at thepokerdb.com where you can see I've made a pretty solid mark playing 1-15 stake tournaments, making a little under 10k with 42 final tables and 7 wins.
When I'm not playing online--I'm most likely playing live at a casino in Oklahoma--I try to go 2-3 times a week, where you will find me on the cash tables.
Now with all this winning comes losing, and nothing makes me more pissed off as to win I lose to complete stupidity, which you will find alot of on pokerstars. Beginners who have no idea what they are doing, you can't make them lay down a hand, and people who just call just to call. Throughout our blogs you will witness our tournaments played during the day, how we did, hand for hand analysis, and you will actually get to see the actual hand where poons make horrible plays and get lucky, or donate to our on growing stacks.
Keep in mind-Also look forward to reading our Poon of The Day segment and Chase's Patio (my patio)
