And the Poon of the Day is...

Congratulations to "Fábão," who put his name into Poon of the Day contention early on in our 4 buck 180 and never looked back. No poon came close to matching Fábão. This poon would qualify for poon of the month, if we had such an award.

Exhibit A: Fábão contributes to costing me a triple up. I get dealt pocket 10s in the big blind. Fab limps in for 50 after the first three players fold. A player with a lame ID named "deadmunnE" then raises 3x to 150. After a call, I make the call from the big blind, and action back to our P.O.T.D. He then reraises all-in, for 1060 total. deadmunnE then reraises all in himself. I think to myself after a raise, a shove, and another all in, my 10s have to be trailing. I folded and what do i see? Fábão's KQ offsuit vs munnE's 66. Bunch of poons. Sure enough, the board runs out and I would have rivered a straight flush. You cant make this crap up.

While donkey deadmunnE put himself in the POTD race by trying to back up his idiotic move, a series of other plays by Fábão won him this prestigious award.

This play needs no explanation, lamentation, or any other -ation. Just read it and shake your head.

Obviously, 6J suited is worth risking over a third of your stack preflop vs two other opponents. Why does PS reward morons?

After limp-reraising with QK offsuit and calling an all in with 6J suited, what does Fábão do with a made hand? Take a look. (No preflop action)

He checks the best hand, of course. You could argue he was going to check raise, but why take the chance? His opponent would have called with a pair of K anyway. Talk about having it a$$ backwards. Makes you really wonder where these people get their money from and why they use it on poker.

Fábão wins a nice cup of shut the f**k up for his efforts today.

Dishonorable mention goes to deadmunnE, who made a donkey play with those 6s and tried to back it up. This argument dragged on, earning him long consideration for the award. Oh, and he got ousted a few hands after that. Can't forget that.

Enjoy the evening.

Searched myself, and found this thread. DeadmunnE here. What stakes you playing these days? Still micros? If you ever want to play some heads up cash (1/2 min,) hit me up on stars sometime.
